National Revenue Authority Donates a Bus to UNMAK

The Sierra Leone Revenue Authority recently handed over a 24-seat bus donated to UNIMAK,  to ease the burden on transportation to and from UNIMAK‘s two  campuses.  The UNIMAK Vice Chancellor Rev. Fr. Prof. Joseph Turay welcomed the delegation from the NRA, saying that this donation was a clear indication that the NRA is meeting it’s corporate social responsibility. Almost 300 Students Become New Graduates of The University Of Makeni

On Saturday 11th February 2017 the University of Makeni awarded degrees, certificate and diplomas to 297 students.   This year’s academic congregation brought together local and foreign dignitaries with over 1000 dignitaries and parents attended the congregation.    A military band entertained the dignitaries, staff, parents and students. Founder of UNIMAK celebrates the Thirtieth Anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination

On 4th February 2017, George Biguzzi, Emeritus Bishop of Makeni and Founder of the University of Makeni celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of his episcopal ordination to the Diocese of Makeni in the Cathedral church of Our Lady of Fatima, Makeni The happy occasion was also his 81st birthday, and in his speech of thanks Bishop George recalled many happy times since he first came to Sierra Leone in 1974. Update on UNIMAK Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory

The UNIMAK Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory (IDRL) was officially opened on the Yoni campus on the 22nd of January 2016 as a collaboration between the University of Makeni, Sierra Leone and the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
