Alessandro De Nittis

My name is Alessandro De Nittis and I am a recent graduate from the University of Sheffield. Growing up, I have always been fascinated by the notion of cultures, from ancient civilisations and far-away nations to the regional customs of my home country, Italy. This passion, which encouraged a few journeys across the continents, later led to a degree in Modern Languages and Intercultural Studies at the University of L’Aquila.

With the intent of deepening my understanding of socio-cultural development and cross-cultural communication, I began my master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and International Development at the University of Sheffield.  My interest in education – the topic of my dissertation – stemmed from my year as a school teacher in rural Thailand, where I observed first-hand the importance of learning.
