Makeni, Sierra Leone – A team from Italy recently conducted a significant visit to the Mass Communication Department at the University of Makeni (UNIMAK). The delegation was given an extensive tour of the department’s advanced television and radio broadcasting laboratory, where they observed students and faculty utilizing modern equipment for practical training in journalism, production, and on-air presentation. The visit served as a platform for the Italian team to gain firsthand insight into the innovative teaching methodologies and technical resources being developed to train the next generation of Sierra Leonean media practitioners.
