The Registrar’s Office: Overview and Responsibilities
From the time UniMak at Fatima campus was created in 2005 to 2011 when we started the Sylvanus Koroma Campus Yoni, many officers and the Registrar functions occupied the Registry by preparing and keeping student records. The Registrar and Director of academic affairs positions were one. The Registry was separated from the Academic Affairs office in 2020.
Today, there are three office staff to assist in the registration and academic records management. The policies enforced relative to student admission, registration, GCE O’LEVEL/WASSCE credit verification and evaluation, grading system, retention, graduation requirements and other related matters are based on the Student Handbook approved by the Governing Council and those issued by the Commission on Higher Education.
The University Registrar’s Office is an academic support unit that administers operations in course registration, student academic records, graduation and other related services. It serves as the university’s central front-line service unit on curricular and academic matters.
