On Tuesday 14th February 2017 the British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, His Excellency Guy Warrington, visited the University of Makeni. The Vice-Chancellor Professor Fr. Joseph Turay welcomed the High Commissioner to the university and described how, following the gaining of university status in 2009, ” the university has contributed a lot in the human resource development of Sierra Leone.”
In his statement the High Commissioner said he was pleased to visit the University of Makeni and to get first hand information on the contribution of the university in the development of Sierra Leone.
The High Commissioner was taken on a conducted tour of the laboratory and the new public health building situated at the university’s Sylvanus Koroma Campus nearby in Yoni.
