The University of Makeni (UniMak) is pleased to welcome professors from the University of Bologna (UNIBO), Italy, to the Yoni Campus on 21 August 2026, as part of the S.K.I.L.L.E.D. Project – Strategic Knowledge and Inclusive Lifelong Learning in the Health Sector for Youth Employability and Development (AID 013244/04/2).
The S.K.I.L.L.E.D. Project is implemented in collaboration with Doctors with Africa CUAMM, the University of Makeni, and the University of Bologna, with the aim of strengthening technical health education and contributing to the development of skilled and qualified health professionals in Sierra Leone.
The visit forms part of ongoing activities under the S.K.I.L.L.E.D. Project, which seeks to expand specialized technical training opportunities for young people, enhance knowledge and skills in the health sector, and improve youth employability and professional development.
The project is funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening health education, capacity building, and sustainable human resource development in Sierra Leone.
