A joint team of students and lecturers from UNIMAK LIVE and the Mass Communication Department successfully conducted an interactive awareness campaign against substance abuse targeting students at the Yoni campus. Led by department lecturer Unimak live content development director Matthew Abdul Kanu alongside colleague Paul Kamara, the initiative was warmly welcomed by campus staff member Admire Moiwo and sparked high engagement, with students actively raising questions and contributions. The campaign earned strong praise from campus leadership, with UNIMAK LIVE Managing Director Shebora Kamara calling it a vital step toward a drug-free campus, while Law Department Head Boniface Sidikie Kamara commended the effort and suggested investigating potential internal sales of substances on campus. This campaign is not funded by any organization or donor.
