A delegation from the University of Makeni (UniMak) paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Norma Sanchez Aguila, the Cuban Ambassador to Sierra Leone, to discuss potential collaborations between the university and Cuban educational institutions.
The delegation was led by UniMak Registrar, Mr. Foday Augustine Bangura, and included the Director of International Relations, Madam Mercy Mwaura, along with other key staff members.
Discussions centered on strengthening academic ties through educational exchange programs, with Ambassador Sanchez Aguila reaffirming Cuba’s longstanding commitment to accessible and quality education. Both parties highlighted areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of health sciences and engineering.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with an invitation for further dialogue, reflecting strong optimism for future partnerships that will enrich academic opportunities and experiences for students and faculty alike
