UNIMAK Hosts Landmark Entrepreneurship Training for Sierra Leonean University Lecturers

The University of Makeni (UNIMAK) officially launched the SLEEK Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on entrepreneurship pedagogy at its Fatima Campus, welcoming European partners alongside representatives from universities across Sierra Leone. Organized in part by committee member Dr. Peter Lansana, the intensive training initiative—co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program—aims to revolutionize higher education by equipping local lecturers with active, modern teaching methods. By shifting the academic focus from theoretical learning to practical business-building skills, this collaborative network is working to transform Sierra Leonean graduates from traditional job seekers into innovative job creators.
