Message from the Vice Chancellor on the Remembrance Day

Today, our nation will officially kick start Remembrance Day in Sierra Leone. Remembering the ten years civil conflict that lead to loss of lives, property and the break down of law and order in our nation.
UNIMAK will remember this moment by educating our students, who were still young, about what took place.
Series of documentary movies will be presented for our students to know what took place.
Celebrating the Wednesday Eucharist celebration for the repose of those who lost their lives in the senseless war.
Encourage our Muslim Jamat to offer prayers for our country and the dead.
Initiate discussions and debates in your departments, classes and faculties about the causes of the way and our response to the TRC recommendations as a path to a better future.
The Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report indicted all of us in these words: “ the civil war demonstrated that there was a lalck of leadership at all levels”… are we preparing our students and staff as the responsible and committed leaders of our nation?
