In a vibrant ceremony attended by hundreds of students on Friday, February 13, 2026, the University of Makeni (UNIMAK) conferred an honorary Doctorate Degree upon Cardinal Arrigo Miglio, Archbishop Emeritus of Cagliari, Italy. The degree was officially presented by the Chancellor of UNIMAK, His Excellency Bob John Hassan Koroma, following a warm welcome from Vice Chancellor Professor Joseph Turay, who lauded the Cardinal’s lifelong dedication to the promotion of human dignity.
